We’re sorry to see Club member Chris Worthington, better known to his mates as “Worthers”, heading back to the United States .
Chris has been a fantastic teammate and a very popular member of the club. A strong and prolific defender, he was also never shy of pushing forward and getting himself on the scoresheet.
Known for his competitive passion, Worthers was equally well known for his post-match tactical analysis — analysis so detailed he surely deserved a place on Match of the Day!
Chris leaves us with plenty of great memories, both on and off the pitch, not least his absolutely unbelievable Dad dancing at our social occasions!
You’re going to be missed, Chris, but we wish you every success back in the States. And remember, whenever you’re back in Spain, never hesitate to come and see the lads.
